I Love Time Warner Cable

...he said with much sarcasm.

Yeah, so my cable internet is down, and apparently it takes 10+ days to get a service call from this lovely conglomerate. Of coruse, that was after wasting literally 1 1/2 hours on the phone with them (and when I say literally, I don't mean figuratively, as when people say, "I literally died!").

I will try to find some time to put up another post from the office this week (as I am quickly doing currently), but it may be difficult. Bottom line, though, Time Warner has botched their transition during their LA takeover of Comcast and Adelphia cable systems worse than I've ever seen. I'm honestly amazed, and I hope they lose plenty of business because of it. They deserve to. I know I'm looking into satellite TV and DSL.

Post again soon, I hope.

It's times like these when you wonder what people did without the internet.

I heard one comment about the internet that made me chuckle:

"If you took all the porn sites away there would only be one page left on the internet. That would be the 'bring back the porn' page".

Yeah, experienced the same thing from those brain dead bozos at Time Warner Cable. We had an outage that lasted days, and when I missed the second day of 24, that did it. I cancelled and got DirecTV (which I'm thrilled with). But that wasn't the end of the Time Warner Cable problem. Oh, no. Not by a long shot. Yes, I too experienced hour long holds on the phone with them. But then they kept billing me, and a month later still hadn't disconnected the cable! I have all my phone, sattelite and internet through Dishnetwork. The internet goes out often, but just for ten minute increments. Otherwise I've never had a problem. When I move this month they're going to do all the work for me.
