Mea Culpa

Following a comment Warren left on my post about the Variety Screening Series, I sent an email to them to clarify if this was a series for Variety subscribers only, or if it was open to the public. I received the following "official" response:

Joel,
Actually, our Series is not for Variety subscribers, it is for invited Guild members only. We have sent out invitations as such and check guild cards at the door.

Unfortunately, whoever sent the link and told you this was an open screening to Subscribers was mistaken. While we sometimes have a few extra seats available for uninvited guests, Munich will have heavy security at the studio's request and all names will be checked against our original invitation list.

I apologize for any confusion and thank you for your interest in our Series.

Best,

K

Thus, I'm not going to say you won't be able to get in anyway, but I'm not going to be going, and I apologize to you all for any confusion I caused. I'll be updating the other post to reflect the appropriate information.

Thanks for the update. You'll save me a trip down to Arclight. Guess I really need to work at getting my guild card.
